‘New Season is Underway’ from our TD Chairman

October 10th, 2018

The swimming season is back underway. I know this because for the next few weekends Mair is swimming all over the country.

The team at TD are buzzing about the various meets. The Wyvern league, the Arena league, club meets, inter counties meet, para swimming meets…… The list goes on and on.

Last year our “little” club produced some amazing performances. Those performances came about because of the hard work and dedication of everyone involved – I’m eternally grateful forΒ everyone’s support and dedication.

I’m not sure how we will top last seasons successes, I do know however that everyone involved will do everything they can to make this season the very best possible.

Watching our swimmers compete as individuals is always amazing. If you want to see them raise their game even further please get along to the Wyvern League where our youngsters swim with real fire in their bellies. They come together as a team and its a sight to behold as they slug it out to earn as many points as they can.

Our older swimmers will be slogging it out as a team in the Arena league. Its fast paced and amazing to see world class athletes competing. No matter who we face, I know that every swimmer in the pool will give it 200%.

Of course, what makes these events so special is the competition. Clubs from far and wide who want to win as much as we do. I can’t wait to see our wider swimming family very soon, there will be smiles, laughter, cheering on of our team and no doubt some tears.

I truly hope everyone has an amazing season. Be yourself and do your very best, and remember, you don’t lose or fail, you learn from every race and become the best that you can become!

Paul McRae

TD Chairman
